Project Overview
This project focuses on acoustic improvement for multiple kindergarten classrooms. Kindergarten spaces feature high-frequency children’s activities, loud voices, running and toy collision noise. Original hard wall and floor materials cause severe indoor reverberation, noisy classrooms and mutual noise interference between adjacent rooms. We adopted full eco-friendly, anti-collision and child-safe acoustic materials to reduce reverberation, lower background noise and create a quiet, safe and comfortable learning and playing environment for young children.
Key Project Challenges
1. High requirement for safety & environmental protection Materials must be non-toxic, formaldehyde-free, anti-collision and soft-edge to fully protect children’s safety.
2. Frequent high-pitched noise & reverberation Children’s high-frequency voices and active activities cause disordered sound reflection and long reverberation time.
3. High wear-resistant & washable demand Kindergarten walls are easily touched and stained, requiring durable and easy-clean acoustic surfaces.
4. Strict fire safety standards for educational spaces All materials must reach Class A/B1 fire rating and meet local school building codes.
